Terms of use

These terms cover the Shade Shaker app and this website, shadeshaker.app. Both are provided by XGENO Solutions W.L.L. ("we"). By using them, you agree to these terms.

Using the app and the site

You may use Shade Shaker free of charge, for personal and commercial work. If you got the app from the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store, that store's terms apply too, including, for the Mac App Store, Apple's standard license agreement for apps.

Don't use the app or the site to break the law, and don't try to disrupt or damage the site.

What you make is yours

The palettes, code, images, PDFs and other files you make with Shade Shaker are yours. Use them however you like, in personal or commercial projects, with no credit needed. We claim no rights in them.

Provided as is

Shade Shaker and this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work to make them accurate, but we don't promise that they're free of errors or always available. Contrast ratios and other checks are guidance; they don't certify that a design meets any accessibility law or standard.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, XGENO Solutions W.L.L. isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, that comes from using the app or the site. Our total liability for any claim about them is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Third-party licenses and trademarks

Shade Shaker includes open-source software and content under their own licenses, including the color names from color-name-list (MIT License) and the Inter typeface (SIL Open Font License). The full list, with each license, is in the app under About → Acknowledgements.

Flutter, SwiftUI, React and the other frameworks named on this site belong to their owners; Shade Shaker isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them. Apple, the Apple logo, Mac and Mac App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Microsoft and Microsoft Store are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new date, and if you keep using the app or the site after that, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of the Kingdom of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. This doesn't take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
